Subway’s Jared Fogle to appear at Mansfield Stadium Friday

Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, who lost 245 pounds by exercising and eating Subway sandwiches, will be taking his “Fat Pants” farewell tour to Mansfield Stadium Friday.

Fogle will attend a luncheon for World Series players and coaches during the first semifinal game, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. He will then throw out the first pitch for the second semifinal game, scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Following the second semifinal, the spokesman will give a short talk at the World Series banquet later in the evening, emphasizing the importance of healthy eating and exercise.

Fogle is in the midst of a nationwide tour to talk about childhood obesity and to show off his 60-inch waist pants he wore before going on his weight-loss diet. When the tour is over, he plans to retire his “Fat Pants” for good.
